Permits
The Calella Film Office offers free advice and coordinates the needs of any audiovisual production made in Calella with the different departments of the Calella City Council. Alternatively, it provides support in the processing of filming permits, organises preparation coordination meetings with the aim of providing all the necessary information to plan, speed up and produce the best possible conditions in order to turn Calella into a film city.
All those production companies who wish to shoot in Calella must have prior authorisation from the Calella City Council. In order to be able to process your request as soon as the application process has begun, please fill out the application form found in this section. Calella Film Office will evaluate the application with the relevant municipal departments and will inform the interested party about the feasibility of the application.
In the event that the Calella City Council grants the permission to the production company requested, the Calella Film Office will proceed to follow up and coordinate the necessary steps to facilitate the work related to the production that our city is involved in as much as possible.
Beaches
The productions that you want to carry out on the Calella’s beaches, must request directly to the Department of Territory and Sustainability of the Generalitat de Catalunya in advance enough to the start date of the activity, that in no case should be less than one month due to the mandatory reports that must be requested. Once the fee is paid, the application process will begin.
In the case of wanting to carry out water activities, it will be necessary to obtain the mandatory authorization from the corresponding Maritime Captaincy. Likewise, in those activities to be developed within 70 meters of the railway, it will be necessary to have the corresponding ADIF favorable report.
To carry out activities on the beaches during the high season, the following restrictions must be taken into account:
– From July 1 to July 15, shootings and photo shoots are only authorized from Monday to Friday.
– From July 16 to August 31, filming outside the scheduled weekdays between 8:00 pm and 9:00 am is not authorized.
