Sala Mozart

Calella’s historic Sala Mozart, founded in 1904, has been distinguished by the Catalan Film Academy as the oldest active cinema in Catalonia. Over the years, the Mozart’s activity has never stopped, not even during the Civil War, and between the 50s and the 80s it hosted the compromised and sometimes almost clandestine sessions of the so-called Cinefórum. With the support of the Calella City Council, it continues to exist as a social, popular and urban space. It currently broadcasts films from the Gaudí Cycle and the Cineclub.
